The Strategic Business Analyst – Aerospace & Defense supports high-impact business and operational initiatives within a highly regulated environment. This role combines data-driven analysis, strategic planning, and process optimization to support aerospace and defense programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, operational efficiency, and organizational goals. The position partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive performance, compliance, and innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct financial modeling, operational analysis, and business performance evaluations to support strategic decision-making
Analyze complex datasets using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Support strategic initiatives across aerospace and defense programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational requirements
Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to develop data-driven recommendations and business strategies
Lead process improvement and standardization efforts to enhance operational efficiency and program execution
Develop and present reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations that clearly communicate insights and recommendations
Support supply chain, compliance, and program operations analysis within a regulated aerospace/defense environment
Assist in the evaluation and optimization of business processes, ERP/MRP workflows, and operational systems
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
5+ years of business analysis experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries
Strong expertise in financial modeling, operational analysis, and data analytics
Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
Proven ability to work with executive leadership and cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
Understanding of regulatory, operational, and supply chain dynamics within aerospace and defense environments
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting government contracts, defense programs, or commercial aerospace projects
Background in process improvement, strategic alignment, and cross-functional program coordination
Professional certifications such as CBAP, Six Sigma, or related credentials
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and enterprise business tools
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
