Job Title: Accountant
Location: ABDC Building, Scout Rallos Street Quezon City
Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with tax regulations, and managing both payables and receivables. As part of a dynamic and growing startup, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of our financial processes. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required for this role, and having a Certified Tax Technician (CTT) certification is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment
  • Validate and match invoices with purchase orders and receipts
  • Manage and schedule payments (online banking, check payments, etc.)
  • Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies or inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and BIR documentation

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Generate client invoices and ensure timely billing
  • Prepare aging reports and maintain accurate client records
  • Reconcile incoming payments

Finance & Administration:

  • Assist in month-end financial closing and reporting
  • Support audits, internal reviews, and compliance documentation
  • Contribute to improving financial systems and workflow
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed within the finance team
  • Manage and monitor the petty cash fund, ensuring proper documentation and approval for disbursements
  • Ensure all deposits, withdrawals, and fees are accurately recorded
  • Prepare and process monthly contributions for SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in general accounting, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required; Certified Tax Technician (CTT) is a strong advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine taxation laws and BIR compliance
  • Familiarity with Philippine labor and statutory regulations, including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other government requirements
  • Experience in handling petty cash, bank transactions, and performing bank reconciliations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Driven, proactive, and career-oriented, with a strong desire to grow and take ownership in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities in a startup setting
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
