About the Role:

Job Summary: As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various projects, from initial concept through to final delivery. This position requires a highly independent and forward-facing professional, as you will be working directly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders without the need for a team. Your strong communication skills will be vital in effectively conveying technical information and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the estimating and project management process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full-cycle estimating process for projects, from initial review to final bid submission, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to gather project details and requirements, ensuring the accurate estimation of costs and timelines.
  • Utilize Bluebeam software to review project drawings, mark-up, and collaborate on designs and specifications for accurate cost analysis.
  • Manage and track project budgets throughout all phases, ensuring estimates remain in line with scope and any changes are addressed.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for construction, renovation, and other related projects.
  • Provide recommendations on cost-effective strategies to meet project requirements while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documents for clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all communications.
  • Identify potential risks, delays, or budget overruns early in the project cycle and propose solutions to mitigate issues.
  • Ensure the timely submission of all estimates and proposals to clients, consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain and update knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and materials to continuously improve estimating accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience as an Estimator with a focus on full-cycle estimating and project management.
  • Strong proficiency in Bluebeam for project takeoffs, markup, and collaboration.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage directly with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously without direct team support.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex project specifications and drawings.
  • Ability to identify and assess project risks and implement strategies to reduce them.
