Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Specialist to join our Finance team. This role will be responsible for handling day-to-day financial transactions, managing vendor and client accounts, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. As part of a growing startup, youll have the opportunity to wear multiple hats and contribute to the development of our finance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment
  • Validate and match invoices with purchase orders and receipts
  • Manage and schedule payments (online banking, check payments, etc.)
  • Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies or inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and BIR documentation

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Generate client invoices and ensure timely billing
  • Prepare aging reports and maintain accurate client records
  • Reconcile incoming payments

Finance & Administration:

  • Assist in month-end financial closing and reporting
  • Support audits, internal reviews, and compliance documentation
  • Contribute to improving financial systems and workflow
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed within the finance team
  • Manage and monitor the petty cash fund, ensuring proper documentation and approval for disbursements
  • Ensure all deposits, withdrawals, and fees are accurately recorded
  • Prepare and process monthly contributions for SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
  • 12 years of experience in AP/AR and general accounting
  • Knowledge of Philippine labor and government regulations (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR)
  • Experience handling petty cash and performing bank reconciliation
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently in a startup environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
