With over 70 employees and growing, we are looking for a strategic and hands-on HR Manager to lead and develop our people operations in Davao City.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Manager to join our senior management team and oversee the full HR function of our Davao operation. This is a key leadership role who reports directly to the Co-Founders and will be pivotal in shaping business strategy, employee training, engagement initiatives, and overall HR operations.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, adaptable, and a true team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This person must be a strong leader with practical know and willingness to work on-site in Davao is required to effectively lead and collaborate with the team.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and mentor the HR team to support a growing workforce of 6070 employees.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives to align HR with business goals.
- Serve as the key HR advisor for local and foreign stakeholders (especially Australian-based clients).
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Drive strategies for employee engagement, retention, and succession planning.
- Monitor and improve performance management systems and feedback frameworks.
- Managing payroll, administering employee benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with compensation regulations.
Culture & Engagement
- Promote a strong, inclusive workplace culture rooted in the companys values.
- Implement programs and initiatives to improve team morale, satisfaction, and productivity.
- Regular employee check-ins to support motivation, retention, and professional development
Compliance & Risk
- Ensure full compliance with Philippine labor laws, internal policies, and client expectations.
- Mitigate HR-related risks through proactive management and transparent communication.
- Implement the companys disciplinary process fairly and consistently
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Build, document, and refine HR processes, policies, and SOPs.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis on workforce metrics, engagement, and performance trends.
- Communicate regularly with clients to ensure alignment and address any HR-related concerns or needs
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, or related field preferred
- Prior experience working in the outsourcing, BPO, or shared services industry.
- Proven track record of managing large teams (50+ employees).
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, HR best practices, and employee relations.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience liaising with foreign business clients, particularly from Australia, is highly desirable.
- Ability to work onsite in our Davao City office, Monday to Friday.
- Experience with HRIS platforms is a must.
