Junior Estimator

Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator with at least one year of experience in construction estimating or a related field. The successful candidate will support the estimating team in preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing construction plans, and assisting with bid proposals. This role is ideal for someone with a background in civil engineering who is eager to build a long-term career in the construction industry. Training will be provided on industry-standard tools such as PlanSwift and Bluebeam.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist senior estimators in reviewing project specifications, drawings, and documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using estimating software such as PlanSwift and Bluebeam.
• Maintain accuracy in measurements, calculations, and documentation according to project requirements and company standards.
• Collaborate with senior estimators to resolve discrepancies and clarify project details.
• Organize and maintain records of project estimates, takeoffs, and supporting documentation.
• Support value engineering initiatives and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in the preparation of competitive bid proposals that align with client expectations and project scopes.
• Stay informed on construction materials, methods, and market pricing trends to improve estimating accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in construction estimating, quantity surveying, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or other construction estimating tools is an advantage.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
