Position: Web Developer

Type: Independent Contractor

Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Work Setup: Hybrid (1 day onsite per week) or 100% remote

About the Role:

Global Staff Network is seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in WordPress website development and maintenance, along with proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS. You will be responsible for conducting thorough site audits, implementing fixes, and providing detailed reports to ensure our websites perform optimally in terms of speed, security, and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive site audit reports detailing issues and actionable recommendations.

• Implement fixes related to website speed, security vulnerabilities, broken links, and plugin updates.

• Provide a post-fix report or summary outlining improvements made and any further suggestions.

• (Optional) Align website optimizations with SEO best practices to support marketing goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS, including themes and plugins.

• Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Experience in website troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.

• Ability to prepare clear, detailed audit and summary reports.

• Understanding of website security best practices.

• Basic knowledge of SEO principles is a plus.
