Job Title: IT Team Lead

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

About the Role

Global Staff Network is seeking a proactive and experienced IT Team Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT function. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, ensuring seamless IT support, infrastructure reliability, and alignment with business needs. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting organizational growth, including onboarding new clients and employees from an IT systems and infrastructure perspective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and mentor the IT support team to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues
  • Provide advanced technical support across hardware, software, network, and system-related concerns
  • Oversee the setup, configuration, and deployment of workstations, network devices, and IT systems
  • Drive IT onboarding processes for new hires and clients, ensuring proper system access, equipment provisioning, and readiness from Day 1
  • Supervise and support junior team members, including remote staff (e.g., Davao-based team member)
  • Monitor system and network performance, proactively identifying risks and implementing improvements
  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems
  • Administer Active Directory, email systems, and user access/permissions
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security protocols
  • Lead and execute IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and cloud implementations
  • Oversee data backup processes, disaster recovery planning, and data protection initiatives
  • Maintain and continuously improve IT documentation, including SOPs and system configurations
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with operational requirements
  • Manage IT assets, inventory tracking, and procurement of hardware/software
  • Conduct training sessions and provide technical guidance to end-users and internal teams
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to IT operations

Qualifications

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, networking, or infrastructure roles
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Strong knowledge of network administration, systems management, and IT infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Windows Server and Windows OS
    • Microsoft Office 365 and Active Directory
    • Ticketing systems (e.g., GLPI)
    • Linux systems
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, virtualization technologies, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
