Role Overview

The Electrical Quality Control (QC) Inspector supports the contractor delivering construction projects across Micronesia for U.S. government projects. The role is site-based, works as part of the contractor's quality team, and interfaces regularly with government representatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect electrical installations, including power distribution, lighting, grounding and bonding, low-voltage systems, generators, UPS systems, and fire alarm interfaces.
  • Verify that electrical work complies with contract drawings, specifications, NEC, UFC requirements, and approved submittals.
  • Perform daily quality control inspections and document results in required QC reports.
  • Witness electrical testing, commissioning activities, and functional performance testing.
  • Review electrical RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings prior to installation.
  • Identify non-conforming work, issue corrective action requests, and verify corrective actions through closeout.
  • Coordinate quality activities with construction teams, subcontractors, and Government quality assurance personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 safety and health requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of electrical construction or electrical inspection experience.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and UFC electrical criteria.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, and technical specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or U.S. Department of Defense construction projects.
  • Overseas or remote construction project experience strongly preferred.

Education / Background

  • Electrical trade background or completion of an electrical engineering or electrical technology program preferred.

Preferred Certifications

  • USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C).
  • NFPA 70 (NEC) certification or documented NEC familiarity.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction.

Compensation

  • Estimated salary range: USD $50,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience and certifications.
