Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or any relevant field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly preferred
  • Minimum of 6+ years of external/financial audit experience (required)
  • Must have completed at least 15 Employee Benefit Plan (EBP/401k) audits within a single busy season (required)
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience handling engagements within healthcare, manufacturing, and/or distribution industries is a plus
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel tools, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Amenable to a hybrid work setup
  • Willing to work on a night shift schedule


Responsibilities:

  • Gain a strong understanding of the firm's policies, procedures, and audit methodology
  • Perform audit and accounting procedures as required for client engagements
  • Ensure completion of engagements, including compilations, reviews, and compliance work
  • Monitor engagement progress and ensure timely resolution of audit findings
  • Deliver engagements on time, within budget, and in line with client expectations
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and well-documented working papers and financial statements
  • Identify areas of risk and provide recommendations to improve client operations
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with internal teams
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide staff and senior accountants on engagements
  • Review work outputs to ensure quality and compliance with professional standards
  • Manage multiple engagements and priorities simultaneously
  • Identify opportunities to provide additional or value-added services to clients
  • Support business development efforts, including client retention and cross-selling services
  • Stay updated on AICPA standards, FASB pronouncements, and industry developments
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions
  • Perform other related duties as required, including working extended hours during peak periods
