About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Advisory and Consulting team. In this role, you will assist clients with Medicaid and Medicare cost reports, reimbursement methodologies, rate setting, financial modeling, and regulatory analysis. Youll have the opportunity to work on complex healthcare engagements, develop specialized expertise, and contribute to innovative solutions, all while being part of a team that values collaboration, accuracy, and client-focused results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual Medicaid and Medicare cost reports in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Perform variance analysis between prior year and current year cost reports to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Maintain detailed workpapers and audit trails to support cost report filings as to be prepared to respond to inquiries from auditors or government agencies.
  • Assist with reimbursement projections and modeling based on cost report data.
  • Monitor healthcare industry standards and compliance.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify issues and apply accounting principles.
  • Develop an ability to effectively respond to questions from supervisors and clients and keep the team lead informed of engagement/project status
  • Effectively apply technology tools in assigned areas
  • Contribute to fostering an environment of team work, ethics, and Firm values
  • Manage multiple ongoing consulting engagements simultaneously

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any relevant course
  • Certified Public Accountant is highly desirable
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in consulting, public accounting, internal audit, or a related field involving financial and operational analysis
  • Preferably with experience in Healthcare Industry and Audit.
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients at all organizational levels
  • Has proven analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Has excellent oral and verbal communication skills
  • Amenable to work in a hybrid work arrangement
  • Willing to work on a night shift schedule
