The US Accountant role provides an opportunity to be part of a collaborative engagement with a well-established US-based CPA firm, supporting their accounting and financial operations across diverse client portfolios. This position offers valuable exposure to US accounting practices, reporting standards, and client service operations while working closely with international accounting teams and US counterparts. It is well-suited for professionals aiming to enhance their expertise in general accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting within a dynamic global environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any relevant course
• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant and/or US CMA, but not required
• Must have 2 years of General Accounting or Bookkeeping experience
• Experience working with a US-based company or accounting firm is highly advantageous
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including GAAP and financial reporting
• Proven experience in handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions
• Proficiency in bank and general ledger reconciliations, month-end close activities, and sales tax filings
• Experience in preparing trial balances and posting adjusting journal entries
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero) and intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
• Amenable to work in a Hybrid set-up
• Willing to work the night shift

Responsibilities:

• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Manage bank and general ledger reconciliation(s)
• Preparing sales tax returns
• Perform month-end closings
• Preparing trial balance and adjusting journal entries
• Ability to work independently both in the office and at client locations
• Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality
• Aptitude for learning and utilizing appropriate resources and technology
