Key Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of senior developers and/or the Application Development & Support Manager, create applications and software solutions which may include interfaces and application databases
  • Contribute to Phase 2 development using the firm's AI-assisted method: execute AI drafts, run the security agent and remediate findings, produce and validate unit tests, and iterate to acceptance criteria
  • Use the firm's approved AI development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude) within established prompts and patterns, verifying output for correctness, security, and licensing
  • Work within the firm's Git and GitHub workflow, including branching, pull requests, and code review
  • Deliver work to the CI/CD pipeline in a deployable state, with tests passing and documentation current
  • Create and maintain API connections that form part of an application this role develops, including integrations with platforms such as STAR, Intacct, and Axcess
  • Perform system applications software implementation and upgrades, diagnose and solve technical problems, and manage problem escalation and solution tracking
  • Contribute to documentation for applications, integrations, and design decisions
  • Apply secure coding practices for confidential client financial data, manage secrets through approved storage, and never place client data or credentials into AI prompts outside approved configurations
  • Escalate security questions beyond existing development policy to the internal security team prior to implementation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Programming, Web Development, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of application development experience
  • Formal training, certification, or hands-on experience in Microsoft technologies, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of software development concepts and SDLC methodologies.
  • Experience or familiarity with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Angular, HTML/CSS, APIs, and web services.
  • Understanding of MS SQL Server, database design, and query development.
  • Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and AI-assisted development tools.
  • Basic knowledge of M365, Windows Server, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications or training are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
