Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any relevant course
  • Certified Public Accountant is highly desirable
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in consulting, public accounting, internal audit, or a related field involving financial and operational analysis
  • Solid accounting background with strong familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 
  • Previous experience in Assurance or Audit, including testing and analysis related to leases
  • Must have experience working with accounting and/or assurance engagements involving lease standards (e.g., ASC 842)
  • Prior work with U.S. Government accounts or federally funded entities is a plus, but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint); experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, ACL, IDEA) is an advantage
  • Demonstrated understanding of internal controls, financial reporting, compliance, and business operations
  • Proven ability to manage and analyze large datasets and draw meaningful insights to support recommendations
  • Experience with fraud investigations, forensic accounting, or litigation support is a plus
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients at all organizational levels
  • Has proven analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Has excellent oral and verbal communication skills
  • Amenable to work in a hybrid work arrangement
  • Willing to work on a night shift schedule

Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with the firm's policies and procedures
  • Work directly with the firm's partner to assist clients with a variety of financial and operational studies and projects
  • Communicate directly with clients to perform information gathering interviews, request data and documentation, and present final reports, analyses, and recommendations
  • Conduct consulting fieldwork - interviews, walkthroughs, process-mapping exercises, data analysis, compliance testing, etc.
  • Perform testing and analytical procedures with large datasets
  • Write comprehensive reports detailing project procedures, observations, findings, and recommendations, based on work completed, industry research, experience, and knowledge
  • Manage multiple ongoing consulting engagements simultaneously
  • Supervise consulting staff working on engagements
