Qualifications
- Bachelor degree holder.
- Have at least 2 years experience in file reviews, audit, credit assessment, or compliance (consumer credit preferred).
- Strong understanding of responsible lending, mortgage broker Best Interests Duty, and evidence‑based decisioning.
- High attention to detail with confidence applying scorecards and consistent review criteria.
- Strong written communication skills; able to write clear, calm, and audit‑ready findings.
- Comfortable working with CRMs (Salesforce / myCRM) and meeting productivity targets.
- Sound understanding of privacy, data security, and regulated information handling requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1) Conduct Broker File Reviews
- Review files in line with company's process, scorecard criteria, and evidence expectations.
- Validate reasonable inquiries, verification steps, and suitability assessments.
- Document findings clearly (what you saw / where you saw it / why it matters).
2) Complete Scorecards Accurately
- Complete all sections of the scorecard with no blanks.
- Reference documents, screenshots, and evidence locations clearly.
- Ensure outcomes align with internal guidance and calibration standards.
3) Identify Evidence Gaps & Manage Follow-ups
- Flag missing or unclear evidence early.
- Request additional information, set follow‑up dates, and track responses.
- Document unfulfilled requests and recommend outcomes based on available evidence.
4) Maintain Accurate Records (Salesforce / myCRM)
- Update outcomes, dates, and notes accurately in the system.
- Attach references and evidence so reviews can be followed without rework.
- Handle customer information securely and in line with company's privacy requirements.
5) Communicate Findings to Brokers
- Provide clear, respectful summaries of issues and required corrective actions.
- Explain standards in plain English with examples of acceptable evidence.
- Escalate disputes or challenges to the Team Leader.
6) Escalate High‑Risk Matters
- Raise red flags early (e.g., potential fraud, misrepresentation, document concerns).
- Escalate potential privacy or security incidents immediately.
- Identify recurring high‑risk patterns that may require training or remediation.
7) Support Investigations & Complaints
- Assist with lender investigations, AFCA matters, and complaint workflows.
- Compile evidence, timelines, and factual summaries as requested.
- Maintain neutrality and evidence‑based reporting.
8) Contribute to Continuous Improvement
- Share trends, recurring gaps, and emerging risks.
- Participate in calibration sessions and apply updated guidance quickly.
- Suggest improvements to templates, checklists, and workflows.
