Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Specialist with deep expertise in Informatica PowerCenter and SAP data integration. The role focuses on ETL development, production support, SAP source extraction, performance tuning, and leading L2/L3 support activities. The consultant will support daily ETL operations, guide junior team members, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure SLAs are met through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead support and maintenance of Informatica PowerCenter / CDI-PC workflows, mappings, and sessions.
  • Monitor daily ETL jobs, troubleshoot failures, and perform RCA with permanent fixes.
  • Manage SAP ECC/S4HANA data extraction using IDocs, RFCs, connectors, or BAPIs.
  • Work with SAP functional teams to understand business logic and data structures.
  • Guide junior ETL developers and collaborate with SAP, BI, and DBA teams.
  • Participate in change management, release planning, and production deployments.
  • Maintain documentation: runbooks, SOPs, ETL process summaries.
  • Tune Informatica sessions/workflows for high performance.
  • Implement best practices for logging, error handling, and recovery.
  • Lead support teams on bug fixes, enhancements, and client interactions.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor L2 teams, and support L3 technical delivery.
  • Ensure SLA adherence through proactive monitoring and timely incident resolution.
  • Work closely with application, platform, and hyper-care support teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter (10.x or higher).
  • Proven SAP data extraction expertise (IDoc, BAPI, RFC, ODP).
  • Solid understanding of ETL architecture, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Experience with production support and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Knowledge of Oracle/SQL Server, Unix/Linux scripting, and job schedulers (Maestro, Control-M).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Informatica IICS or Informatica MDM.
  • Exposure to AWS/Azure and data lake architectures.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
