Our client is a well established shipping brand. In view of expansion, they are currently seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join them as "Marketing & Capacity Executive)(Liner Shipping)".

In this role, you will be responsible for the following :

  • Liaise with the Line Management department to ensure BSA allocations are confirmed and provided in advance for all services handled by Singapore office.
  • Allocate and distribute BSA to the respective Ports of Loading (POL) in China, taking into consideration agreed freight rates and cargo weight differentiation.
  • Take full ownership of the booking portal, ensuring sufficient bookings are secured to fully utilize the allocated BSA on a vessel-to-vessel basis.
  • Make commercial decisions to release or reallocate space to accommodate higher-revenue bookings and optimize vessel yield on a vessel-specific basis.
  • Liaise closely with the Sales & Marketing department to facilitate effective inter-department information sharing and to ensure market rates or higher are achieved with confirmed loadings.
  • Ensure vessels depart the final China port with maximum space utilization and yield optimization, factoring in rate levels and cargo weight mix per POL.
  • Provide guidance and onboarding support to new customers on the use of the booking portal to ensure smooth and accurate booking processes
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Business, Logistics, or a related field in shipping profession is an added- advantage.
  • Entry Level candidates are welcome to apply; training will be provided.
  • Strong understanding of feeder shipping operations and container logistics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
  • Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Candidate should be equipped with good numeracy skills
  • Candidate must be meticulous with details, multi-tasking, possess a positive learning attitude, and be able to cope with the fast-paced working environment
