R&D Backend Engineer (HDD Manufacturing)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Involve in backend process development activities, hardware modification, and improvement.
• Undertake new process development projects for future technological requirements.
• Undertake improvement projects to resolve technical challenges during new product and manufacturing stages.
• Ensure smooth transfer of process settings from R&D team to manufacturing team.
• Work with Reliability team for new evaluations to establish Spin Stand HDD correlation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Science (Chemistry/Physics), or Materials Science and Engineering.
• Experience in the manufacturing with relevant work experiences.
• Chemistry knowledge to support lubricant development activities.
• Materials science and nanotribology knowledge.
• Process improvement skills; proficiency in Minitab and Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced data analysis and statistical process control.
• Cleanroom environment.
