Senior IT Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and understand business and technical requirements to design suitable network solutions and proposals.
• Serve as the primary technical lead for network project implementation and execution.
• Plan, prioritise, and deliver multiple network build and transformation projects within agreed timelines and scope.
• Design, configure, and deploy enterprise network solutions across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environments.
• Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot networking technologies, including DNS, HTTP, SSL, 802.1X, DMVPN, TACACS+, RADIUS, and VPN solutions.
• Support load balancing, WAN optimisation, and secure access architectures such as SSL VPN and Zero Trust.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco networking platforms (Nexus, Catalyst, Wireless LAN Controller, ISE) and F5 load balancers.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for implemented solutions and project activities.
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to operations teams to ensure smooth project handover and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to support network migrations, including after-office hours where required.
• Monitor network performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement enhancements to improve scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
• Evaluate emerging networking technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business and technology roadmaps.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to provide project updates and technical guidance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in network engineering and enterprise infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of the OSI model and core networking principles.
• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise network environments, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN.
• Strong technical knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including:
  • DNS, HTTP, SSL
  • 802.1X
  • DMVPN
  • TACACS+
  • RADIUS
  • WAN Optimisation
  • SSL VPN
  • Network Security Solutions
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking products, including Nexus, Catalyst, Routers, Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), and Cisco ISE.
• Experience configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting F5 Load Balancers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent troubleshooting abilities.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Aruba Certified SD-WAN Deployment Professional
• Aruba Certified SD-WAN Deployment Expert
