About the job Infrastructure Project Manager
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and clarify client requirements to produce detailed and structured specifications.
- Identify project-specific deliverables and standard outputs, track key assumptions, and proactively manage risks and issues.
- Anticipate compliance and regulatory needs early in the project and communicate potential impacts to stakeholders.
- Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) using appropriate detail.
- Identify and allocate appropriate resources, forming and coordinating effective project teams.
- Escalate major risks and issues to project sponsors and local management, ensuring timely resolution.
- Review and improve existing processes for efficiency, relevance, and effectiveness.
- Communicate project changes clearly to sponsors and obtain necessary approvals.
- Monitor and report budget forecasts and actuals to stakeholders and management.
- Implement and monitor controls to ensure deliverables meet validated requirements.
- Oversee the transition and documentation during project handover to production teams.
- Continuously refine and enhance project management methodologies and toolkits.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within Banking and capital markets environment
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage
- Strong expertise in managing full project lifecycles using structured methodologies
- Proven ability to anticipate, assess, and mitigate project risks
- Solid hands-on understanding of IT infrastructure components (e.g., networks, storage, security, telecom)
- Experience managing multiple technical projects in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Familiarity with virtual technologies, batch processing, and SAN environments
- Background in projects involving networking, databases, workplace systems, telecom, or storage
- Proficient in MS Project and Microsoft Office tools
- High-level understanding of software development is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels
- Strong influencing, negotiation, conflict resolution, and analytical skills
