About the job IT Engineer (3 months contract)
- Diagnose and resolve PC, server hardware, printer, and software-related issues; escalate complex cases to second-level IT support or external vendors when necessary.
- Respond to IT helpdesk calls and provide first-line support to users.
- Process and follow up on user requests related to purchases and service subscriptions.
- Set up and troubleshoot internal video conference meetings.
- Deliver comprehensive support for all hardware and electronic devices.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems on PCs.
- Maintain a database of legally licensed software across all systems.
- Install and manage authorized software applications.
- Provide on-the-job training to users on new systems, software updates, and operating system/network changes.
- Ensure adherence to operating procedures and maintain accurate operation records.
- Take prompt corrective action to address computer malfunctions and security breaches.
- Enforce security measures on PCs and servers by regularly updating antivirus engines and definition lists.
- Source and verify quotations from multiple suppliers for new IT requirements and submit them for IT manager approval.
- Manage and update hardware and software inventories.
- Prepare comprehensive system and user documentation.
- Provide helpdesk support to Private Banking users.
Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all relevant legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements, including the Singapore Compliance Manual, compliance policies, and procedures.
- Comply with financial security protocols, including measures to prevent financial crime and fraud, and fulfill reporting duties to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
- Stay informed and up-to-date on all necessary knowledge to perform the role competently. Complete all mandatory training to maintain job qualifications.
