About the job Technical Officer (Environment) | Power Plant | North
Jobscope:
- Implement and monitor strategies, policies, and programs that promote sustainability development related to environmental protection, management, and ISO management systems.
- Advise and oversee all environmental-related matters.
- Ensure corporate compliance with environmental legislation and lenders requirements in environmental due diligence, and liaise with relevant authorities on environmental issues.
- Implement ISO 14001 and align with the Integrated Management System (IMS), including ISO 9001, ISO 50001, ISO 27001, and ISO 22301.
- Project corporate social responsibility and build rapport with the community.
- Manage daily disposal of general waste and weekly pest control operations in compliance with regulations.
- Water and Energy Conservation and resources optimization
- Supervise and control contractors management
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance time, cost, and quality management.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Chemical or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent)
- 3-7 years technical experience, preferably in the power sector
- Strong interest in environmental management, environmental issues and
- Familiar with local environmental regulations and recognised international environmental standards
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and combustion processes
- Skilled in contractor management, compliance, and Permit-to-Work enforcement
- Competent in emergency response (e.g., spills, confined space, gas handling)
