About the job Head of Business Development

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for identifying, developing and acquiring new clients, and in enabling the farming of existing clients in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Devise strategies for driving sales growth and to manage sales pipeline in a CRM tool
  • Ensuring the Asia Pacific region is on track to deliver its sales budget and identifying opportunities for underperforming customers
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the Business Development teams in Asia Pacific
  • Form internal relationships with local and international colleagues to ensure maximisation of opportunities across the broader business
  • Maintains contact with customers to ensure their expectations are clarified, understood and met. Is able to balance the customers need for flexibility and innovation with commercial reality
  • Analyze and formulate countermeasures for the commercial competitive landscape.
  • Works closely with the comapny's legal representative to shape and negotiate client contracts.
  • Represents the company in trade events and conferences
  • Any other duties as assigned by senior management

Job Requirements

  • Proven business development, sales or marketing experience in the high-tech or waste management industry (battery, eWaste recycling, etc).
  • High energy and prepared to invest the sweat equity to make the team successful.
  • Regional experience across in multiple countries across Asia Pacific.
  • Ability to work actively on a day-to-day basis with minimum guidance on ad-hoc requirements
  • Proficiency in pipeline and account management.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable with a fast-paced, high-performance environment
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen with attention to detail
  • Able to effectively manage a team, and to lead by example
  • Possess excellent communication, negotiation, leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Conversant with English and preferably one other Asian Language
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, CRM and lead-generation tool
  • Be prepared to make business travel within APAC as required
