Senior Business Analyst (Contract)

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users to define and finalize requirements using Business Analysis best practices while engaging stakeholders across front-to-back operations.
• Analyze and document current business processes and operating models, proposing solutions aligned with the target architecture and future business needs.
• Develop solution designs and write functional specifications in coordination with technical IT teams.
• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, translating functional requirements into technical details.
• Provide domain expertise to support the definition of viable business solutions in collaboration with key business sponsors.
• Ensure all services delivered are aligned with and support the broader business strategy.
• Participate in testing activities for developed applications and manage follow-ups on identified issues.
• Deliver fully tested product features with high quality and within project timelines.
• Maintain accurate and current documentation and conduct training sessions for end-users.
• Facilitate coordination with user groups to integrate interface services across various financial systems.
• Support the testing, diagnosis, and resolution of application issues.

Qualifications and Profile

• 8+ years of relevant experience in the corporate finance domain, with a focus on IT solution design and delivery.

• Educational background in accounting, finance, or information technology (diploma or degree).
• Strong understanding of corporate and investment banking, including familiarity with financial instruments such as syndications, participations, commercial loans, letters of credit, guarantees, discounting, and factoring.
• Experience in middle-office operations, covering trade processing, reconciliation, and risk management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of the software development life cycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices.
• Experience working within Agile project environments.
• Practical experience using BDD frameworks and UML modeling.
• Exposure to automated testing frameworks and associated methodologies.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office tools.

Advantages

• Possession of Business Analyst certifications such as ECBA, CBAP, or PMI-PBA.
• Previous experience in project management or serving in a functional lead capacity.
