About the job Head of Team (Cash Management)
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of approximately 10 technical and domain experts, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize team deliverables to meet deadlines and project milestones efficiently.
- Proactively identify, assess, and escalate risks and issues, implementing corrective or preventive measures as needed.
- Ensure all team activities comply with the bank's standards, norms, and operational models.
- Maintain and improve customer satisfaction levels through regular monitoring and service enhancements.
- Monitor and enhance delivery quality and service excellence.
- Evaluate individual skills and recommend training programs to support continuous learning and development.
- Conduct performance reviews, facilitate internal mobility, and support career progression planning.
- Oversee human capital responsibilities including recruitment, team engagement, coaching, mentoring, and staff motivation.
- Implement and champion DevOps best practices including CI/CD, test automation, Infrastructure as Code, Monitoring as Code, and observability.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery, operations, and cost optimization.
- Provide L3 support and expertise to Global Support Teams (L1/L2) when needed.
- Lead technical transformation and innovation initiatives to ensure systems meet evolving business and market needs.
- Collaborate with domain and enterprise architects and business stakeholders for strategic alignment.
- Ensure efficient ramp-up and ramp-down of resources based on project needs.
- Manage team capacity and budgeting according to functional priorities.
- Ensure systems align with modern architecture standards and migrate legacy systems to new technologies.
- Apply DevSecOps principles throughout the application development lifecycle.
- Oversee design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of applications.
- Maintain high standards for both functional and technical design.
Project and Coordination:
- Ensure comprehensive implementation of application modules, adhering to GIT best practices and quality standards.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and production support.
- Collaborate across development teams to ensure consistency and integration across systems and initiatives.
- Align developments with product owner priorities and the integration team.
- Drive improvements in team capabilities, cohesion, and mission alignment.
- Promote adherence to bank policies and code of conduct.
People Management:
- Identify and fulfill hiring needs, ensuring the team is staffed with appropriate skill sets.
- Manage staff performance, career development, and HR-related matters.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to foster individual and team growth.
- Enhance project management processes for improved delivery success.
Qualifications & Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
- Over 12 years of IT experience, including at least 4 years leading critical enterprise-scale projects.
- Minimum of 3 years in people and team management roles.
- Strong background in engineering leadership, innovation, and agile methodologies.
- Deep knowledge in banking technologies, particularly in reporting and cash management systems.
- Proficient in project delivery using technologies such as Spring, Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Expertise in payments and reporting systems including SWIFT MT/MX formats (e.g., MT940, MT942, CAMT.052/053/054, PACS.002), ISO20022, SEPA, and clearing systems.
- Experience in Payments Hub, clearing/settlement systems, and multiple payment product types (TT, RTGS, LVP, etc.).
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder management and decision influence.
- Strong leadership, communication, time management, and team collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a balanced technical and functional mindset.
