Responsibilities:

Primary (80%)

  • Lead planning, upgrades, and implementation of clinical IT systems in coordination with users and vendors.
  • Manage annual IT workplans, procurement processes, and project execution.
  • Oversee informatics-related initiatives for new campus development and ongoing systems support.
  • Act as Credential Trainer and provide onboarding for clinical system users.
  • Review and manage system change requests, troubleshoot issues, and implement configuration changes.
  • Ensure secure and seamless integration across internal and external systems.
  • Drive system enhancements, including cloud adoption and workflow automation.
  • Administer departmental IT assets and coordinate data/reporting needs.
  • Maintain vendor contracts and ensure compliance with SOPs and audit requirements.

Secondary (20%)

  • Recommend and implement digital or AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Support tracking of performance indicators and improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional and inter-institutional informatics projects.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the reporting officer.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related healthcare field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in informatics, systems support, or healthcare IT.
  • Experience with EPIC systems is highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • (a) Cloud computing concepts
  • (b) DICOM, HL7, LAN/WAN networks
  • (c) Internet and system connectivity
  • Familiarity with procurement and budgeting processes.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity standards and firewall management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Independent, proactive, and quick to adapt in a dynamic environment.
