R&D Test Engineer (HDD Manufacturing)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and supervise Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Technicians, and Operators to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Perform full hands-on operation, setup, and troubleshooting of Guzik DET machines or equivalent HDD component testing equipment, with strong knowledge of HDD head and media component testing algorithms.
• Ensure consistent machine uptime and adequate manpower planning to support continuous R&D and Mass Production (MP) operations.
• Evaluate new machine technologies to support customer product roadmaps and prepare technical evaluation reports.
• Drive continuous research and development of critical Guzik parameters to support HDD performance improvement.
• Conduct in-depth analysis and investigation of media magnetic properties versus electrical performance.
• Plan and manage direct and indirect materials for budgeting, logistics, and inventory control purposes.
• Coordinate with other Resonac sites for technology and methodology information sharing.
• Ensure compliance with ISO Standard Operating Procedures and safety practices.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree or Masters degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Degree holder with at least 4 years of relevant working experience with electrical / electronic testing scopes. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of evaluation and testing techniques.
• Proficient in statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, JMP, Spotfire, or equivalent software.
• Knowledge of Visual Basic–based and Python software programming.
• Able to work in a cleanroom-based environment.
