Responsibilities:

  • Demand and Supply Reconciliation: Lead the monthly S&OP cycle to align sales forecasts with manufacturing capabilities. Facilitate consensus between Sales, Finance, and Operations to ensure a single, unified build plan.
  • Monitor the sales order backlog against the approved build plan: In cases of supply shortages, lead the Allocation Process to prioritize customer shipments based on strategic importance and revenue recognition targets.
  • Capacity and Resource Modelling: Analyse long-term resource requirements, including floor space, assembly bay availability, and specialized labour. Identify potential constraints and develop strategies to balance load against capacity.
  • Strategic ECO Impact Assessment: Evaluate the long-term planning implications of major Engineering Changes (ECO). Assess how design transitions affect future inventory liabilities, supplier commitments, and overall production lead times to determine optimal implementation windows.
  • Material Readiness & Long Lead-Time (LLT) Strategy: Establish and manage strategic stock levels for all components and sub-assemblies.
  • Formulate procurement strategies for Long Lead-Time (LLT) items—including risk-buy authorizations—to ensure parts arrive in synchronization with the master build plan and support a zero-stoppage workflow.
  • Scenario Simulation and Risk Management: Perform "What-If" analysis to evaluate the impact of market volatility or supply chain disruptions. Provide data-backed recommendations on adjusting production volumes, procurement timing, and financial commitments for long-range orders.
  • Executive Governance and Metrics: Maintain executive-level dashboards to track S&OP performance. Monitor and report on key metrics such as Forecast Accuracy, Plan Attainment, and Inventory Health to guide senior management decision-making.
  • Identify and resolve systemic gaps in the planning process: Drive the implementation of advanced planning tools or enhancements to the current ERP/MRP logic to improve the automation and accuracy of demand-supply balancing.
