Job brief

Façade Lead manages the design, coordination, and execution of building façade systems for large design-and-build industrial, business park, and commercial developments. The role ensures the façade integrates properly with architectural, structural, and MEP designs while meeting performance and sustainability standards

Responsibilities

    • Lead the design and engineering of façade systems, including curtain walls, glazing, metal cladding, precast panels, and building envelope components.

    • Review façade shop drawings, BIM models, and technical submissions.

    • Ensure façade systems meet structural, thermal, acoustic, waterproofing, and fire safety performance requirements.

    • Design Integration (Design-and-Build Environment)

    • Coordinate façade design with architectural, structural, and MEP teams within integrated project delivery framework.

    • Identify and resolve design clashes, constructability issues, and technical conflicts during design development.

    • Support BIM / Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) workflows used in  projects.

    • Project Coordination

    • Liaise with architects, consultants, façade contractors, suppliers, and project managers.

    • Lead façade design coordination meetings and track design deliverables.

    • Ensure façade packages align with project timeline and construction sequence.

    • Procurement & Vendor Management

    • Evaluate façade subcontractors, suppliers, and materials.

    • Review technical proposals, mock-ups, and material samples.

    • Support tender evaluation and façade package procurement.

    •  Construction & Site Support

    • Provide technical support to the construction team during façade installation.

    • Review method statements, installation drawings, and RFIs.

    • Conduct site inspections to ensure façade works meet quality standards and design intent.

    • Compliance & Sustainability

    • Ensure façade design complies with Singapore authority requirements such as:

      • Building and Construction Authority regulations

      • Green building frameworks (e.g., Green Mark).

Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Building Engineering.
  • 7–12+ years experience in façade design or façade construction.
  • Experience with:
  • Curtain wall systems
  • Unitised façade systems
  • Glazing and cladding
  • Building envelope engineering
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination tools.
  • Experience working on design-and-build projects or large developments.
