Job brief

BIM Coordinator  manages the coordination and integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) models across different disciplines to ensure accurate, clash-free designs that support efficient construction. The role bridges architects, engineers, and construction teams to maintain a coordinated digital model throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • BIM Model Coordination
  • Coordinate BIM models across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
  • Integrate consultant and subcontractor models into a centralized project BIM model.
  • Ensure models follow the projects BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and company BIM standards.
  • Clash Detection & Resolution
  • Perform clash detection using BIM coordination tools (e.g., Navisworks).
  • Identify design conflicts between disciplines and coordinate solutions with consultants and engineers.
  • Track and monitor clash resolution through regular coordination meetings
  • BIM Model Management
  • Maintain and update the federated BIM model throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Ensure models meet Level of Development (LOD) requirements at each stage of the project.
  • Manage model versions and ensure proper documentation and data consistency
  • Drawing Production & Documentation
  • Support the production of BIM-based drawings and construction documentation.
  • Extract drawings, schedules, and quantities from BIM models.
  • Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and technical standards
  • Collaboration with Project Teams
  • Work closely with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, and project managers.
  • Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and track action items
  • Assist site teams with BIM models for construction planning and visualization.
  • BIM Implementation & Compliance
  • Ensure BIM deliverables comply with Singapore requirements from the Building and Construction Authority for BIM e-submission and Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD).
  • Maintain BIM standards, workflows, and digital documentation.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building, or BIM-related discipline.
  • 3–6 years of experience in BIM coordination for building projects.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as:
  • Revit
  • Navisworks
  • AutoCAD
  • Experience working on design-and-build or construction projects.
