About the job Site Engineer
Responsibilities
- Report to Construction Manager and support daily site operations.
- Prepare method statements, safe work procedures, risk registers, tunnel progress reports, and other tunnelling documentation.
- Present tunnelling work plans before commencement of works.
- Plan, monitor, and track site progress, manpower mobilisation, and equipment deployment.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct daily inspection and supervision of bored tunnelling works.
- Supervise TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) operations, including excavation and ring build activities.
- Maintain site records including excavated volumes, grouting records, and construction documentation.
- Plan and monitor RC works, bored pile works, and QECP activities with relevant parties.
- Support construction planning and project coordination with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Assist Construction Manager in project reporting and progress analysis.
- Lead and coordinate civil & structural engineering activities across the project lifecycle.
- Develop and review site work programmes, schedules, and resource planning.
- Resolve on-site technical and engineering issues to ensure smooth project progress.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Civil or related field).
- Minimum 5 years engineering experience, including at least 3 years in LTA / MRT / tunnelling projects.
- Experience with bored tunnelling works and TBM operations is preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Good communication skills, able to work independently and as a team player.
- Able to work with different levels of staff and project stakeholders.
- Willing to work 12-hour rotating shift (8am–8pm / 8pm–8am), 6 days per week.
- Role opened to support ongoing project.
