About the job M&E Coordinator
Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to prepare, review, and submit shop drawings, technical submissions, RFIs, and method statements.
- Assist the M&E Engineer in planning and sequencing M&E works to avoid clashes and ensure smooth integration with architectural and structural trades.
- Review M&E drawings and compare them with other disciplines to identify discrepancies, clashes, and constructability issues before work execution.
- Liaise closely with subcontractors to ensure material procurement schedules, delivery timelines, and installation plans meet the project requirements.
- Attend coordination, technical, and site meetings to follow up on M&E issues and provide updates on outstanding items and progress.
- Monitor site progress of M&E works and provide technical guidance to supervisors and subcontractor teams to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate Testing & Commissioning (T&C) workflows, including preparation of T&C plans, witnessing schedules, and document tracking.
- Compile and maintain project documentation such as drawings, RFIs, approvals, inspection records, T&C submissions, and as-built updates.
- Follow up on authority submission requirements (BCA, SCDF, PUB, EMA, NEA, LTA) and assist consultants and subcontractors in ensuring required documents are prepared on time.
- Resolve coordination issues by proposing technical solutions or alternatives and ensuring decisions are communicated clearly to all involved parties.
- Support QA/QC activities, including site inspections, material verification, and monitoring rectification works for non-compliances.
- Ensure site safety compliance by coordinating with the WSH team and ensuring that subcontractors follow RA, SWP, and permit-to-work processes.
- Provide guidance and support to M&E Supervisors by clarifying technical requirements, reviewing their inspection findings, and mentoring them to improve their coordination, documentation, and site-management skills.
