About the job Associate Cloud Infrastructure Lead (Permanent, Banking)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver complex cloud infrastructure projects that enable business growth and meet regulatory compliance requirements.
- Define and shape IT strategy, focusing on cloud service adoption and platform modernization.
- Provide strategic guidance, leveraging emerging technologies to meet business goals and drive digital transformation.
- Oversee and manage all facets of cloud infrastructure platforms, including compute, storage, networking, and identity management.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive architecture blueprints, engineering standards, operational procedures, and runbooks.
- Drive automation initiatives for cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD practices to enhance delivery speed and reliability.
- Lead cloud migration and transformation projects, ensuring minimal disruption while maximizing value.
- Champion cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization practices across all cloud services.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment by mentoring and inspiring cloud architects and engineers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with architects, application teams, external vendors, and offshore partners to ensure strategic alignment and deliver seamless solutions.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, with a strong background in cloud architecture and leadership within the financial services industry.
- Solid understanding of MAS regulations and compliance frameworks, with prior experience working in a multinational banking environment.
- Expertise in hybrid cloud environments, particularly in Azure, and proficiency in enterprise architecture, system integration, and cloud-native technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of major cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, and their respective services and tools.
- Demonstrated success in migrating on-premises infrastructure to the cloud, driving cost-effective and scalable solutions.
- Expertise in securing cloud environments and implementing robust identity and access management solutions.
- Technical proficiency in at least one of the technologies: Azure SQL DB, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle; Azure Storage, SAN; Azure RedHat OpenShift, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS); Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory; Azure NSG, Firewalls, Proxies; Azure VM, Broadcom VCF/VVF, Nutanix; Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven leadership skills in managing teams, including recruitment, performance appraisals, coaching, and motivation.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across departments and regions.
- Strong collaborative approach, capable of building trust and forging effective partnerships with both internal teams and external vendors.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, especially in complex cloud environments, with a focus on troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Preferred certifications: TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, or other cloud architecture certifications.
