Role Overview
The Director of Paid Search leads the performance, process, and people powering Griffins client delivery. You'll oversee account strategy, mentor Strategists and Ads Managers, enforce best practices, and evolve our delivery systems including AI-enhanced workflows and documentation.

This is not a firefighting role. Were looking for a builder, coach, and standard-setter someone focused on elevating team capabilities and operationalizing excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight for all Google Ads accounts
  • Own quality control and escalation processes
  • Conduct audits and campaign reviews
  • Set and enforce strategy standards
  • Manage and mentor a growing team of Strategists and Ads Managers
  • Lead 1:1s, performance reviews, and team development
  • Build a culture of accountability and improvement
  • Document best practices and create internal playbooks
  • Partner with Ops and Automation to integrate AI and automation
  • Stay ahead of Google platform changes
  • Collaborate with the Founder and Ops on service and process evolution

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 8+ years managing Google Ads campaigns
  • 2-3+ years leading paid media teams
  • Expertise in all major Google Ads campaign types
  • Passion for efficiency, systems, and AI integration
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Experience in remote, async-first teams
  • Ownership mindset and process-driven approach
