Application Support Engineer Core Business Platform
Were currently looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join the internal IT team of a major player in the mobility industry. This is a permanent internal role (no consultancy), focused on supporting a business-critical core application used daily by over 60 sales professionals across Belgium.
Key Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for two main areas:
1. Application Support (Level 2/3)

Handle incidents, access requests, and configuration changes raised by business users.

Use Jira (or similar) to manage support tickets efficiently.

Communicate closely with the business (mainly sales teams) to understand and resolve functional and technical issues.

Ensure service continuity of the core system, which is central to quoting and contract management.
2. Production & Monitoring

Perform daily morning checks and proactive monitoring of the application/database performance.

Assist in the follow-up of changes in production and analyze system behavior after updates.

Occasional flexibility is required for after-hours support during production changes (not frequent, but must be anticipated).
Who Are We Looking For?
Must-Haves
-
At least 3 years of experience in application support (not helpdesk or infra).

Strong knowledge of SQL (able to query, analyze, and troubleshoot data).

Familiarity with ticketing tools, ideally Jira.

Comfortable working closely with business users (not just IT).

Language skills: English fluency, good command of French, and at least basic Dutch.

Team player with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
Nice-to-Haves

Experience with core applications used in complex, business-critical environments.

Experience with monitoring or basic understanding of production environments.
