Role Overview
As a (Senior) Service Engineer, you support customers across the Benelux with a focus on connectivity and transmission solutions. You are responsible for installing, expanding, and maintaining transmission networks for network operators, enterprise customers, and utility companies.
You act as a technical point of contact for customers and collaborate closely with internal engineering teams.
Responsibilities

Install, configure, and expand transmission networks

Maintain and troubleshoot existing customer installations

Support proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and solution validation

Provide technical training to customers

Deliver accurate reporting and technical documentation

Monitor developments in relevant technologies and competitive solutions

Collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams
-
Travel within the Benelux and occasionally abroad

Participate in activities outside standard office hours when required
Required Profile
-
Bachelors or Masters degree (or equivalent experience)

Strong expertise in routing and switching
-
Experience with carrier-grade telecom environments
-
Experience in one or more of the following domains:
-
Optical Transmission (CWDM / DWDM)

Packet Optical Transport (Carrier Ethernet, MPLS)

Network Management Software
-

Experience with telecom transport equipment (strong asset)

Experience with Nokia / Alcatel-Lucent equipment (preferred)

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Customer-oriented mindset

Accurate and structured in documentation

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Fluent in:

Dutch + English

OR French + English
-
Trilingual (NL/FR/EN) is a plus

5+ years of relevant experience in telecom transmission or carrier networking environments
