About the job Mainframe System Analyst
For a complex insurance environment, we are looking for a System Analyst who can translate business needs into concrete solutions within an existing mainframe architecture.
What will you do?
- You work closely with business stakeholders to capture and translate requirements into IT.
- You analyse the application landscape and understand how frontend and backend systems are connected.
- You ensure requirements are clearly described so development teams can implement them correctly.
- You work in a mainframe environment (IMS, Cobol, DB2) and understand the impact of changes on existing systems.
- You support and execute testing activities to validate delivered solutions.
- You collaborate with different roles in the team (PO, analysts, architects, developers) within an Agile setup.
- You communicate with business and internal teams in French, and with offshore teams in English.
- You combine functional analysis with technical understanding in a complex, interconnected environment.
Who are we looking for?
- A System Analyst with experience in insurance and a strong affinity for mainframe environments.
- At least 5 years of experience in business analysis within P&C insurance.
- At least 5 years of experience in a mainframe environment (IMS, Cobol, DB2).
- Strong understanding of how applications and system components are connected.
- Experience reviewing Cobol changes is a strong plus.
- Structured mindset and attention to detail in analysis.
- Strong communication skills in French and English.
