About the job Multimedia Specialist
The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for processing various forms of media for goFLUENTs language learning content. The role includes performing basic multimedia editing and ensuring all images, audio and video elements meet specific project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will work closely with instructional designers and project leaders to understand multimedia requirements and deliver content accordingly. These are your main responsibilities:
- Editing and production
- Perform basic multimedia editing, including enhancing and cropping photos, adjusting and trimming video clips, generating and adding subtitles, producing text-to-speech (TTS) files, and converting file formats.
- Selecting images and other required multimedia elements that align with provided descriptions and adhere to established branding and image guidelines.
- Automation oversight and file management
- Run macros and other automated/AI-assisted actions to perform batch processing, and ensure that output is consistent in quality.
- Download, edit, and upload multimedia files per project requirements, and ensure the files are organized for easy access and retrieval.
- Quality assurance and technical support
- Ensure all multimedia content adheres to goFLUENT branding guidelines and technical image requirements.
- Provide technical support for multimedia files, including troubleshooting and applying necessary fixes.
- Conduct regular content reviews and updates, ensuring all multimedia content remains current and relevant.
- Collaboration and reporting
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather necessary information, communicate ideas, and discuss challenges for multimedia projects.
- Track project progress and provide regular updates on milestones and issues encountered to ensure timely task completion.
- Research and learning
- Maintain proficiency in various digital tools, including AI-powered content creation tools.
- Assist in benchmarking industry standards and stay abreast of trends and best practices to ensure the multimedia content remains competitive and innovative.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
You must have:
- good English speaking skills;
- experience and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Audition) and other graphics design applications;
- experience in multimedia production, with a portfolio that showcases your ability to produce visually compelling materials;
- an exceptional level of attention to detail and the ability to discern subtle nuances, identify inconsistencies, and meticulously follow complex instructions and guidelines;
- a deep understanding of creative processes and the ability to balance creative demands with business objectives;
- strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- a positive can-do attitude, with a proven track record of working independently and collaboratively to drive projects to completion;
- the ability to adapt to the unknown and unfamiliar, maintaining composure and efficiency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The following are not required, but are a plus:
- video editing and production skills;
- experience with agile project management tools;
- experience in the eLearning industry.
