Senior Cloud Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to join a global hospitality technology team and help design the next generation of cloud-based data platforms. This is a hands-on role where youll architect and build scalable data solutions, lead innovation in cloud engineering, and enable data-driven decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities
- Design and build data pipelines, data warehouses, and feature stores to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.
- Implement solutions for data migration, data delivery, and ML pipelines in AWS.
- Develop secure, resilient, and high-performing data platforms leveraging AWS services (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, Redshift, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, IAM, and more).
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
- Automate deployments and infrastructure using CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Troubleshoot and optimize ETL/SQL processes in large-scale environments.
- Build solutions for feature engineering pipelines, with hands-on development in SageMaker or Tecton.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and bring new approaches to improve scalability and performance.
Requirements:
- Strong SQL (critical requirement).
- Hands-on experience with Python.
- Deep expertise in AWS services (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, Redshift, etc.).
- Experience with Snowflake or similar data warehouse platforms.
- Proven ability to design and implement data warehouse and data lake architectures.
- Experience building feature stores in AWS (SageMaker or Tecton).
- Strong understanding of security, IAM roles, and policies in cloud environments.
- ISC certification.
- Experience with modern ETL tools (Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, or Airflow).
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS Fargate.
- Familiarity with large-scale streaming services (Kafka).
