Software Development Engineer in Test

Join a new initiative focused on integrating data from legacy systems into a cutting-edge Customer Data Platform (CDP). The client operates in the hospitality and travel sector, delivering products for both internal associates and external B2C clients. You will work closely with the Product Manager and other cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality integrations and system performance.

Work Environment:

• Location: Colonia Anáhuac, Sección I, Alcaldía Miguel Hidalgo, Ciudad de México
• Hybrid Model: 3 days working onsite at client office / 2 days remote
• Time Zone: Central Time (CST)
• Meeting Expectations: Video attendance required for all team meetings

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently execute assigned QA tasks with minimal supervision
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with development and security teams to validate application behavior
• Provide timely status updates and proactively communicate blockers or clarifications needed
• Conduct automated testing on APIs and Kafka data streams
• Use Zephyr testing platform to manage test cases and results
• Ensure all work is completed within agreed timelines
  

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA automation or SDET roles
• Proven experience with Zephyr automated testing platform
• Strong background in automated testing of APIs and Kafka streams
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or Groovy
• Strong sense of accountability and commitment to team schedules and meetings
• Ability to troubleshoot, clarify requirements, and resolve blockers proactively
• Excellent English (B2+) communication and team collaboration skills
• Comfortable working in a Scrum/Agile environment
