Mid-Level QA Engineer (Salesforce)

Position Overview

Were looking for a skilled Mid-Level Quality Assurance Engineer (Salesforce) to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be key in ensuring the quality and reliability of Salesforce applications. Youll work closely with developers to implement robust testing strategies, identify and manage defects, and continuously enhance QA practices across the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Planning and Strategy

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and define detailed test plans
• Design test strategies to validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of Salesforce applications

2. Test Execution

• Execute test cases and scripts to validate software functionality, usability, and performance
• Conduct both manual and automated testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks
• Perform regression testing to confirm new features do not negatively impact existing functionality

3. Defect Management

• Track and document defects using tools like JIRA, ensuring timely resolution
• Partner with developers to troubleshoot issues and provide clear, reproducible bug reports

4. Quality Assurance Processes

• Implement QA best practices, including automation, code reviews, and CI/CD integration
• Continuously improve QA methodologies to enhance team efficiency and product quality

5. Collaboration and Communication

• Maintain clear communication with developers, product managers, and support teams
• Contribute to agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, with a focus on QA initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, specifically testing Salesforce applications or platforms
• Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture and ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning Platform, etc.)
• Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, ApexTest) and scripting languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Apex)
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), CI tools (e.g., Jenkins), and Agile development environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Developer)
• Experience with Salesforce AppExchange development and packaging
• Knowledge of Salesforce-specific testing tools (e.g., Salesforce DX, Selenium WebDriver for Salesforce)
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, BlazeMeter)
