Senior Azure AI Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Azure AI Engineer to join a high-impact project, designing and deploying conversational AI solutions across Teams and WebApps using Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI.

• Location: 100% Remote
• Time Zone: US Eastern Time (EDT)
• English Proficiency: B2+ or C1

Responsibilities

• Lead development of chatbots integrated with Microsoft Teams and Web Applications, using the Teams AI library and Teams Toolkit.
• Design, build, and deploy advanced conversational AI solutions using Azure AI services.
• Work with Visual Studio Code and Azure AI Studio for full AI lifecycle development.
• Mentor AI Engineers, providing technical guidance and best practices across projects.
• Build scalable, secure, and reusable components using Azure AI Foundry.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement optimized AI solutions.
• Monitor and fine-tune AI model performance while ensuring privacy and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, including at least 4+ years focused on AI/ML solutions.
• Extensive hands-on experience with:
  • Azure OpenAI, Azure Bot Service, and Cognitive Services
  • Azure AI Foundry
  • Microsoft Teams AI Library
• Proficiency with VS Code, Azure AI Studio, and REST APIs.
• Strong background in LLMs, NLP, and cloud-native development.
• Experience mentoring other engineers and leading technical efforts.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (or similar).
• Experience with prompt engineering and managing end-to-end AI workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices in Azure.
