We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer in Cloud and Big Data technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in customer-facing roles and possess expertise in technical escalation support, product support, and developer support across various IT domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide top-tier technical support to customers, resolving complex issues related to Cloud and Big Data services.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Microsoft Azure Platform, AWS, and Microsoft Big Data services like Azure Databricks.
  • Utilize programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, R, Scala, and C/C++ for troubleshooting and debugging purposes.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues, and contribute to the improvement of product reliability and functionality.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Hadoop or similar Big Data/Analytics technologies, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
  • Drive the adoption of Open Source technologies within the support ecosystem.
  • Develop and maintain tools, processes, and methodologies to streamline support operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Engage in continuous learning and stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in Cloud and Big Data technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing or support roles within the IT industry.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Platform, AWS, and Microsoft Big Data services.
  • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, R, Scala, and REST concepts.
  • Familiarity with development tools, languages, and methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on delivering effective solutions.
  • Experience with Data Integration solutions and services.
  • Knowledge of C#, .NET, PowerShell, and CLI is desirable.
  • Prior experience in service engineering and/or DevOps at an enterprise level is advantageous.
