About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst with hands-on experience in enterprise-level software testing within federal government environments. This role supports mission-critical systems for the U.S. Department of the Treasury, ensuring software quality, accessibility, and compliance with SDLC and federal standards.

The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of QA expertise, configuration management knowledge, and Tier 1/Tier 2 support experience. Familiarity with the Appian platform, accessibility standards (Section 508), and Agile methodologies will be key to success.

️Important Note: This is a hybrid on-call position. While day-to-day work may be performed remotely, candidates must reside within commuting distance and be available to report onsite only if requested by the client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex enterprise applications, particularly Appian-based systems.
  • Conduct functional, regression, smoke, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Validate compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards using manual techniques and tools like Axe or JAWS.
  • Track and manage defects using tools such as JIRA or similar issue management platforms.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Apply configuration management best practices related to version control, software releases, and environment control.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk support, resolving user-reported issues and technical challenges.
  • Maintain thorough documentation for test cases, issues, resolutions, and support incidents.
  • Ensure alignment with federal QA, SDLC, and security compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of QA experience, preferably in federal Agile development environments.
  • Experience testing Appian applications and understanding of BPM practices.
  • 2+ years of experience with enterprise test management suites such as IBM Rational Tools, Azure Test Plans, or similar.
  • 2+ years of experience in configuration management, including version control and release processes.
  • Professional experience providing Tier 1 or Tier 2 help desk support.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 compliance standards and accessibility validation tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Prior experience working with or for federal government agencies is required.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. Department of the Treasury is a plus (not mandatory).
  • ISTQB certification preferred.
