Senior Data Engineer 

• Location: Remote (LATAM only).

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a global team and play a key role in designing, coding, testing, and optimizing data solutions. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about building scalable data platforms that drive business impact.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product teams to define requirements and propose technical solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes using modern tools and frameworks.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code in SQL, Python, and scripting languages.
• Troubleshoot complex ETL/SQL performance issues and implement solutions.
• Leverage AWS services (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, Redshift, etc.) to design cloud-based data architectures.
• Research and propose innovative solutions to improve data quality, scalability, and performance.
• Work independently as well as collaboratively in a distributed team environment.

Requirements

• Strong SQL expertise (must-have).
• Hands-on experience in Python and Unix shell scripting.
• Proven experience building and supporting ETL pipelines (Informatica PowerCenter / IICS or similar).
• Solid background in Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Mart development.
• AWS cloud experience (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, Redshift).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in large-scale data environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Snowflake, DB2, or other relational databases.
• Knowledge of data cleansing, validation, and wrangling techniques.
• Experience with feature store design (SageMaker or Tecton).
• Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Industry certifications (e.g., ISC).
