Location: Remote open to Nearshore candidates aligned to CST hours

We are looking for a Data/Customer Data Platform (CDP) Engineer to support the design, development, and operation of our CDP. This role will work closely with engineering, IT, digital, data, and marketing teams to build a unified customer view, integrate data across systems, and enable personalized experiences at scale. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in data engineering, analytics, and CDP platforms, with strong problem-solving and communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and operate full-stack cloud solutions and services in an AWS environment using a serverless-first, managed-service-first approach.

  • Collaborate with the CDP Product Manager and business partners to understand the customer lifecycle and strategy, and how the CDP can enable success.

  • Develop analyses and use data to identify solutions to key customer challenges (e.g., churn drivers, high-value customer attributes).

  • Build dashboards in BI tools to monitor customer trends.

  • Provide internal teams with the right data assets and destination connections for reporting and marketing execution.

  • Lead analysis and reporting projects end-to-end: define data requirements, build proof of concepts, and deploy new/updated assets or attributes.

  • Identify and resolve data management issues to improve quality and availability.

  • Implement automated workflows for ingesting and exporting data across systems, ensuring proper monitoring and maintenance.

  • Identify trends and opportunities to drive measurable growth.

  • Build scalable methodologies and tools to accelerate CDP adoption.

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy requirements related to CDP data.

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Minimum 5 years experience in consulting, business analytics, or data science.

  • English level B2 or above is required. 

  • Strong understanding of relational databases and ETL tools.

  • Proficient in SQL (joins, GROUP BY, window functions, complex queries).

  • Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, R, PySpark, TypeScript, or JavaScript for data manipulation and insights.

  • Experience creating executive-level dashboards with BI/visualization tools.

  • Strong data analysis skills; ability to extract insights from customer data and translate into actionable strategy.

  • Understanding of internal data systems, architecture, and structures.

  • Experience with experimentation design and A/B testing.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills across multiple workstreams.

  • Proactive, resilient, and resourceful problem-solver.

  • Knowledge of Marketing Technology stacks and CDPs (Amperity experience is a strong plus).

  • Understanding of Change Management processes.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both data and business stakeholders.

  • BA/BS in Math, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

  • Bonus skills:

    • Experience developing predictive models with ML frameworks (MLlib, H2O, scikit-learn).

    • Experience working with data in AWS environments and toolsets.

    • Direct experience with Amperity CDP
