Private Pickleball Coach

Job Summary Golden Racket Academy is seeking an energetic and dedicated Private Pickleball Trainer to inspire and develop players of all ages and skill levels across Indio, CA. In this dynamic, mobile role, you will meet clients at their local HOA, community, or public courts to deliver personalized pickleball instruction. You will focus on fostering a love for the game while helping clients improve their technique, strategy, and overall court performance. Your expertise will motivate clients to reach their athletic potential in a positive, highly instructional environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement tailored pickleball training sessions that meet each client's specific goals and skill level.
• Provide clear, organic instruction on proper technique (including dinking, third-shot drops, and kitchen strategy), footwork, stroke mechanics, and match play.
• Travel locally to conduct sessions at various community and public courts within the Indio / Coachella Valley area.
• Maintain safety standards during all training activities, including performing pre-lesson court inspections and monitoring client hydration in the heat.
• Submit brief post-lesson client assessments through our internal portal to track player development and process your payouts.
• Foster a supportive environment that encourages confidence, sportsmanship, and enjoyment of the game.
• Communicate effectively with clients about their development plans and provide constructive, actionable feedback.

Skills & Requirements

• Proven experience as a pickleball trainer, coach, or high-level player with a deep understanding of the sport's fundamentals.
• Excellent teaching skills with the ability to work with players of diverse ages and backgrounds (from absolute beginners to advanced players).
• Reliable transportation to travel to local courts across the Indio area.
• Strong knowledge of player development strategies and court safety protocols.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students while maintaining a professional, instructional attitude.
• Effective communication skills for working with clients and coordinating with the Golden Racket Academy onboarding team.
• Experience working with youth or beginners in a sports setting is a plus.
