Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose a range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment programs tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide insightful counseling to students and their families about assessment results and treatment plans.
- Set clear treatment goals and expectations with students and their support networks.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all student interactions and progress.
- Delegate responsibilities to support staff as needed, ensuring all activities meet state guidelines.
- Collaborate with staff and external agencies to support student progress.
- Refer students to specialists in dentistry, psychology, or relevant fields when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Current SLP certification required by the start of employment.
- Possession of CPR certification, a valid TB skin test, auto insurance, and a driver's license.
- Minimum educational requirement: Associate degree or completion of a Speech-Language Pathology certificate program.
- Experience in the field is preferred but not essential; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
