As a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT), you're the superhero helping kids conquer school tasks with ease! You work in schools to support students with physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges, making sure they can shine in class, on the playground, and beyond. What You'll Do:

  • Make a Plan: Create fun, tailored goals for students through IEPs or 504 Plans to boost their school success.

  • Get Hands-On: Lead therapy sessions (one-on-one or in groups) with activities to improve motor skills, self-care, or focus.

  • Team Up: Chat with teachers, parents, and school staff to share tips and tricks that help kids thrive.

  • Gear Up: Suggest cool tools like special pencils, seating, or tech to make school tasks easier.

  • Keep Records: Jot down progress notes and stay on top of paperwork to keep everything legit.

  • Share the Know-How: Teach school staff and families how to support kids' skills at school and home.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree,  either a master's degree or a clinical doc
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Adaptability and welcome change
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Good documentation and writing skills
  • Great personalities and people skills
