The DIRECTOR-HUMAN RESOURCES will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resource practices and processes within an organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To Develop and implement human resource performance improvement programs to assist staff to adapt to new requirements and skills development programs that are in place in order to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Organizational and divisional Human Resource Planning and budget preparation.
  • To establish and maintain effective human resource information systems for effective monitoring of organizational staffing levels and effective management of staff personnel records.
  • To provide efficient and effective industrial relations services to promote a conducive industrial climate in the company by putting in place effective staff communication systems between management, staff and the union.
  • To develop and implement human resource policies and procedures in line with the current legislations, procedures and practices and ensure adherence by all functional areas of the company.
  • To provide an effective and conducive staff welfare environment by sensitizing all employees on general wellness and the relevant medical scheme administration programs and other benefits.
  • To provide management and the board accurate, regular, monthly and quarterly human resource reports on human resource matters concerning developments and changes taking place in the company.

Education & Experience

  • Grade 12 Certificate with 5 O level credits or better including English and Mathematics
  • First degree in Human Resource with post qualification in Human Resource, Public Administration or degree in relevant business qualification
  • At least a minimum of 10 years experience in a senior management position in a large public or private organisation of which Five (5) must be at senior management level
  • Must be a proficient user of MS office Suite
  • Must be knowledgeable of Human resource policies and practices
  • Must possess exceptional communication and relationship skills, leadership, managerial and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • An MBA Post qualification will be an added advantage
